Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. D Cold Total Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid D Cold Total Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans. D Cold Total Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, Caffeine and Phenylephrine, which relieves common cold symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever and pain. Caffeine increases the effectiveness of paracetamol. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
